AiOP: Invisible
AiOP is a non-profit organization I worked for
as an Invitation & Catalogue designer. I also help create work for social media & banners with a reoccurring theme and style that I have
created for this company.
This year the exhibition theme is called INVISIBLE. The works for this exhibition centers around the older generation who have not been in the spotlight for a while and are undaunted by the passage of time.
My idea behind the work I have done for this organization is based on Casey Estes' website idea for this year's exhibition, which is very colorful and reminded me of "INVISIBLE COLORS"in which white light can reflect upon red, green and blue. Magenta, cyan and blue are being absorbed between each of these colors. When light hits a spectrum, a ray of colors are born on the other side.
Therefore, I have created a more colorful approach to the word, INVISIBLE.
I worked closely with the curator, LuLu LoLo, with creating her vision on screen and paper and followed the director, Ed Woodham, and his ideal goals for this year's event while creating design decisions with LINCO PRESS, a printing company in LIC that have been helping AiOP out for many years.

This half-fold, accordion tri-fold brochure highlights information about 90+ artists participating in the Arts In Odd Places: INVISIBLE 2019 festival.
This also includes information on the curator and the history of the organization along with pictures and artistic problem-solving ways to handle space and typography with very mass-filling information.
I have chosen this fold and figured out a perfect solution for a low budget print job with grayscale printing, all while being in communication with Linco Press.
